DEPA introduced natural gas to Greece by carrying out a major energy investment through a basic infrastructure project, which brought natural gas from Thrace to Attica through all major consumption centers in the mainland.

More specifically, CNG stations for the supply of vehicles with natural gas operating in Attica, are located in Kifissia, N. Philadelphia, Anthousa, Ano Liossia, Agios Ioannis Rentis, Ilioupoli, Koropi and Aspropyrgos. In Thessaloniki there are stations in Pylea, Stavroupoli and Nea Magnesia, whereas there is one (1) station in Kozani, one (1) in Ioannina, one (1) in Volos, one (1) in Lamia, one (1) in Chalkida and two (2) in M.S.S. Schimatari Car Service Station. Alongside, Larissa has three (3) natural gas operating stations, one (1) in the city centre and two (2) in M.S.S. Evaggelismos Car Service Station - and two (2) additional natural gas stations operate in M.S.S. Psathopyrgos Car Service Station (Aigio). Stations under construction are located in Igoumenitsa, in Xanthi, in Thessaloniki (4th gas station), Kommotini, Veria, and Patra. Additionally, gas stations in Attica (3 gas stations) and Karditsa are in the licensing process.
